Emmanuel Manny "Pacman" Dapidran Pacquiao was born on December 17, 1978 in Kibawe, Bukidnon Philippines. His parents was Rosalio Pacquiao and Dionesia Dapidran-Pacquiao but got separated when Pacman is in sixth grade. Manny is the fourth among the six siblings namely: Liza Silvestre-Onding and Domingo Silvestre (from first husband of his mother) and Isidra Pacquiao-Paglinawan,Alberto "Bobby" Pacquiao and Rogelio Pacquiao. Manny is married to Maria Geraldine "Jinkee" Jamora with four healthy children namely; Emmanuel Jr. (Jimuel), Michael, Princess, and Queen Elizabeth. Manny's family is currently resides in  General Santos City, South Cotabato, Philippines but Manny won as the Congressman in lone district of Sarangani, his family is now officially residing in Kiamba, Sarangani, the hometown of his wife.

Manny Pacquiao finished his elementary education at Saavedra Saway Elementary School in General Santos City, but dropped out of high school due to extreme poverty. Manny as the bread winner of his family left his mother when he was 14 of age. On 2007, Manny took, and passed, a high school equivalency exam making him eligible for college education. Manny was awarded with a highschool diploma by Department of Education. Pacquiao enrolled for a college degree in business management at Notre Dame of Dadiangas University in his hometown in General Santos City. On February 18, 2009, Pacquiao was conferred the Honorary Degree of Doctor of Humanities (Honoris Causa) by Southwestern University (SWU) at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Lahug, Cebu City in recognition of his boxing achievements and humanitarian work. And In preparation for his career as a lawmaker in the House of Representatives, Pacquiao enrolled the Certificate Course in Development, Legislation, and Governance at the Development Academy of the Philippines - Graduate School of Public and Development Management (DAP-GSPDM).

Currently Manny Pacquiao holds the WBO World Welterweight Champion (Super Champion) with a record of 51-3-2 with 38 wins coming by way of knock out. Pacquiao is rated as #1 pound-for-pound best boxer in the world by several sporting news and boxing websites, including The Ring. He is also awarded as "The Fighter of the Decade" for year 2000-2009 by the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA). This award was presented by legendary boxer Joe “Smokin” Frazier, who was also a recipient of the award himself back in 1978 for defeating Muhammad Ali. Aside from this prestigious recognition, he was also named as the Sugar Ray Robinson Fighter of the Year for 2009, having received the same honor in 2006 and 2008. The awards ceremony was held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City on June 4, 2010.

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao not only a boxer and politician but also a actor and singer. His career started on 2000 with his first movie "Di ko Kayang Tangapin" and he played the role of Dong and his singing career started on 2006 with his first album "Laban Nating Lahat Ito (2006) - under Star Records"
